Mr. Arthur Igeria – Director
Mr. Arthur Igeria (FCiArb) is the Senior Partner at the law firm of Igeria & Ngugi Advocates situated in Nairobi. He has had an extensive law career in Kenya in civil litigation, arbitration & mediation, conveyancing and corporate/commercial law.
His passion, accomplishments and stellar track record in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms earned him an appointment by H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta, as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration (NCIA).
He runs an active arbitration and mediation practice, sits on the Branch Committee of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, (Kenya), is a tutor with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Kenya), the Mediation Training Institute, Kenya, the Strathmore Dispute Resolution Centre (SDRC) and an accredited mediator by the Mediation Accreditation Committee of the High Court of Kenya.
Mr. Igeria is keenly involved in corporate governance issues and is a Director at the Centre for Corporate Governance (CCG) for whom he also trains in its corporate governance courses.
Mr. Igeria graduated from the University of Nairobi with a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1989 and was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court in 1991. He holds a Global Executive Master’s degree in Business Administration (GEMBA) from the United States International University (USIU)/ Frankfurt School of Business and Finance. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, an accredited Mediator by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Mediation Training Institute (MTI) Kenya, the Strathmore Dispute Resolution Centre (SDRC), and the Mediation Accreditation Committee of the High Court of Kenya.
